About the Author:

Julie Costa Langley makes her home in Santa Cruz County in the beautiful little town of Scotts Valley, California. She shares her home with her husband, Rich, son Nicholas, and their pup, Max. Julie is a native of Santa Cruz and a proud 1st and 2nd generation Portuguese-American. She is a mother of four children and a grandmother of three. Since retirement, from many years of county government service, she is happily fulfilling her dreams as an author. Julie has since released three children's books: Nina And I, (2021), The Hat In The Closet, (2023), and her first chapter book, What Is Saudade? (2025). Julie hopes her books will bring encouragement, joy, and smiles to your children's faces!

Julie’s newest book, What Is Saudade, released in April, 2025 is a semi-bilingual English/Portuguese chapter book. This book details a child’s journey to her mother’s birthplace where she discovers the rich culture and beauty of the Azores!
